The management side of this game (FM) is still amazing, as is squad building, bringing through youth etc. I did try Age of Gladiators, which was fun until it bugged out. Over the top passes, fast guys run one on one, or they dribble from half way - up the wings and score. Sadly most of my attacks are exactly the same. They also miss most of their one on ones, but when I have 20-30 shots a game, one or two are bound to go in.
Makes no sense.I am first in the league by 5 points, but most of my goals come from my wingers who just run through defences like a hot knife through butter and score. I play possession based game, yet most games I have 30-40% possession, even with the best passing/vision/technique in the league. No one scores for me unless I go with 2 strikers, then the strikers bang em in. Sold him to Chelsea and he seems to be back to 1 in 2 again. When he plays sole stiker, he got 3 goals in 27 games. When i changed to 4-4-2 or 4-2-4, Haaland bagged 11 goals in 9 games. My wingers VERY RARELY pass the ball to him, even when hes wide open. Haaland gets a tonne of one on ones, he has a lot of easy chances but never puts them away. 4-1-4-1 - my Sydney666 wonder tactic I created back in 2015 or 2016. I put a new manager in again, as it's just mainly a Stuttgart save - and I am now 1st, with the same tactic. 3rd year we had dressing room and morale issues and I finished 10th. I got promoted and came 2nd with basically the same team. One I have used for a number of years with great success.Įven now, on FM2020.
My 4-1-4-1 was a known tactic on the workshop. Also tried 4-2-3-1 and again, he doesn't score. I also tried my trusted 4-1-4-1 (it basically is a DM, 2 x CM, 2 wingers and a striker) and he doesn't score. Most of my goals come from my wingers who are inverted wingers or sometimes inside forwards. I play 4-3-3 with 1 striker and 2 wingers, yet my striker Haaland - rarely scores. Those people playing with sole strikers, do they score goals for you?
